What is the PTC?

The Pinewood Elementary Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is a collaborative community where all parents, guardians, and staff members are automatically members. Guided by an elected Executive Board, the PTC hosts monthly meetings to coordinate school events, manage fundraising, and review requests for classroom support and enrichment programs. We warmly encourage all families to attend these meetings to stay informed, connect with our school community, and discover meaningful ways to contribute to our children's educational experience. Together, we can foster stronger relationships between home and school to ensure a successful year for every Pinewood Panther.

I am thrilled to begin my fourth year on the Pinewood PTC, stepping into the role of President after serving three years as Treasurer. With six years of experience as a Parent Group Leader—having held various positions ranging from Fundraising Chair to President across multiple school levels—I have discovered a true passion for creating fun, engaging experiences for our students. My primary focus this year is to strengthen our Pinewood community; I believe that by deepening our connections, we can achieve truly amazing things together. On a personal note, my husband and I have two children: a daughter who recently graduated from Tower and a son currently in the fourth grade here at Pinewood.

Hi! I'm excited to be back for my third year as Pinewood PTC Vice President! As a proud former Pinewood Panther, it's extra special to now have my son in 4th grade at Pinewood while my daughter has moved on to middle school.

When i'm not at school events, you'll usually find me camping, traveling, or enjoying weekends up north with my family. I love getting crafty, dreaming up big themed parties and events, and finding fun ways to bring people together. Making memories for our Pinewood students and families is one of my favorite things, and I can't wait for another amazing school year!

Hello! I have 2 sons; my Pinewood Panther is going into first grade and my youngest will be starting preschool in the fall. I am also a former Pinewood Panther! As a family we love being outside, going camping, or out to the lake. I love being creative, and creating memorable moments for our kids who grow up too fast! I’m excited to join the board this year as Secretary and help create these special moments at school too!

Treasurer

Hello! I am excited to be stepping into the role of treasurer for my fourth year on the board. My oldest daughter has moved onto middle school but I still have twin daughters in 3rd grade, and my son is starting kindergarten this fall. As a family we love to be outside and explore new parks and beaches. I can't wait to make more memories for our Pinewood Panthers this year!

What does the PTC do?

We increase communication by:

holding regular meetings
reinforcing information coming from school
encourage open communication among Staff, PTC Board, and Families
connecting to our members in ways that is easy for them to receive

We build community by:

holding events, both in school and outside school hours
encouraging families to volunteer
giving space for lifelong friendships to be built

We enrich our children’s educational experience by:

funding classroom needs
supporting PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports)
bringing fun opportunities to the school
promoting school spirit
